Let me just preface this with: I love ombre everything. I have Drew Barrymore inspired dramatic ombre hair, I’ve mastered the DIY ombre nail, failed at DIY ombre curtains, and am hoping to try an ombre iced cake… so it should come as a *huge* shock that I am currently obsessing with this gold ombre inspired wedding. I don’t know if it’s because ombre reminds me of the natural gradient of a sunset, but it’s gorgeous no matter where it appears. It’s delicate, pretty and feminine – the perfect inspiration for a bridesmaid shoot! Shoutout to the photographer, SLP for capturing such a visually striking set of photos – inspired by subtle colors and bold shapes.
I love that in addition to the awesome 3rd party vendors included in making this spectacular shoot happen, a bunch of local businesses in Tivoli village were brought in to showcase their talents at this wedding. Destination weddings are done best when inspired by local flavor and style.
And wow, these women stunned in their sequin dresses – dazzling head to toe in gold, champagne, and rose gold dresses that subtly allowed each to stand out while blending together in harmony to create that gorgeous ombre effect. Their color scheme echoed the bride’s gorgeous creamy pink and tan flower crown and bouquet. And speaking of flowers, I had to do a double-take on their massive floral cupcakes. The detail is so intricate I mistook it for another (yummier) bouquet!
From the Photographer:
Cantina Laredo at Tivoli Village was the setting for this Gold ombre and geometric inspired shoot. The idea started when we saw the newest line of convertible sequin dresses by Staysi Lee bridal. We loved the unique gold colors of the dresses and wanted to create a lovely, feminine bridal shoot, with a new take on the sequin trend.
We blended the mixed metal, geometric feel with lots of champagne, gold and rose-gold touches. In addition to our wedding vendors we incorporated some of the great businesses at Tivoli Village — Cupkates, Cantina Laredo and Jeff White Jewelry. We were able to create a sweet feminine look with the rose cupcake cake by Cupkates and blush florals by Mylofleur. The bridesmaids carried stand-out bouquets based on different geometric shapes.
The menu cards were acrylic, laser cut with gold trim to reflect the same shapes in the invitations— all designed by Aisle Bound. Our wedding stylist Melina from Starry Eyed Events, created a one of a kind wood centerpiece with an acrylic focal point. Our calligraphy artist, EG Letters provided the calligraphy details on our centerpiece and the glass note card box.
The wedding dress was provided by Silhouette Bridal, we loved the contrast of its soft layers beside the sequin bridesmaid dresses. The flirty ruffles really add to the femininity of the dress. Hair & make up was provided by Atomic Hair Salon, and was inspired by a natural, romantic look and feel.
