Royal Wedding Inspiration Shoot

We’re all a-flutter with excitement over the Royal Wedding! The upcoming nuptials of British royalty Prince Harry and his fiancé Meghan Markle is kind of a big deal – royal weddings don’t just happen every day, you know! And though we’ve had a few opportunities to drool over royal weddings in our generation, this one is even more exciting because it’s the first time an American is marrying into the British Royal Family (since 1937)!

So, I don’t know about you, but I’m curious if we’ll be seeing any differences in the styling of this wedding over the most recent one of his brother, Prince William.

Our friends over at LLG Events took it upon themselves to make our fantasy come true – they’ve conceptualized a style photo shoot full of predictions of what an American royal wedding would look like. Sparing no expense with gorgeous purple, black and gold invitations by Ceci New York, to breath-taking floral designs from Tantawan Bloom and a luxury venue at Lotte New York Palace, this shoot gives couples planning their own nuptials the opportunity to consider adding a few royal touches to their own event.

Could you see yourself transformed into a Big Apple Princess, overlooking the beautiful city skyline? Can you feel the grace that would take over your body the minute you slip into a fitted appliqued Romona Keveza gown, trailed by a cathedral over-skirt? Would you raise a glass of champagne under a tree built of cascading pink cherry blossoms, fuchsia orchids, and pink peonies? (Meghan’s favorite!) Will you be royally gracious and demure as you cut your towering tiered cake covered in the age-old symbols of royalty: gold and purple filigree?

Well then, maybe I’m not the only one on the edge of my seat to see a traditional British Royal Wedding fused with American contemporary style. A huge shoutout goes to the talented team of vendors who brought this fantasy to life and to Brent Matthews Photography for capturing every detail so beautifully.  We’ll have to wait just a few more days to see how closely it matches up to the real event!
