Destination Wedding in St. Maarten with Gorgeous Views

Family and friends mean a lot to this big-hearted couple and they are clearly loved back, as one hundred and ten people made the trek from Texas to their destination wedding in St. Maarten.  The wedding took place at Villa Les Jardins de Bellevue, on the French side of St Maarten near the capitol, Marigot. The gorgeous villa sits on top of a hill with 360 views of the island, lagoon, ocean, and nearby islands.

The venue was so gorgeous that it hardly needed any decor but the bride and her planner managed to find the perfect way to enhance the natural beauty.  The villa, ceremony, and reception areas were all decorated with stunning flowers shipped right from Holland.  Their color palette consisted of a pretty mint and gold combination.

To add to the island ambiance, a steel band drum entertained guests during dinner.  The popular DJ EM was the DJ for the evening, and the spotlights and music from the night could be heard throughout the island, starting a rumor among the locals that it was Jay-Z and Beyonce partying at the Villa. After the party at the villa, everyone headed to some local bars in downtown Maho and then a casino, where Brittany stayed in her dress the whole time!

I absolutely love every detail of this gorgeous destination wedding in St. Maarten.  There is even a story behind the rings.  The bride and groom had a theme behind their wedding bands “three strands is not easily broken” from Ecclesiastes 4:12. The bride wore a custom three banded ring by Davidoff Diamonds and the groom had the verse “Ecclesiastes 4:12” inscribed on the inside of his ring.
