Many couples believe that waterfront wedding ceremonies make the most gorgeous backdrops, and I’d agree! There’s nothing like having your toes in the sand, while the sun sets and twinkles over a body of water as you say, “I do”… but oftentimes for destination weddings, we assume the ocean is our best option. But I say… what about lakes? This talented team of vendors came together to prove how romantic and pretty a lakeside wedding, in a Las Vegas desert no less, can truly be. The calm water and light breeze really optimize the serenity of this setting, creating the perfect vibe for a simple and elegant outdoor wedding.
First off – the stationary by Paper and Home is entirely fitting for the occasion. The soft pink ombre design mimics the gorgeous sunset that envelops the mountains in the distance. And I love that these pretty pinks are repeated throughout the attire, decor and floral arrangements, tying the whole event together into one cohesive vibe. I want to point out how genius the choice of white and acrylic chairs for the ceremony was. They’re subtle and light, and keep the entire beach from looking cluttered with furniture so the natural beauty of the sand, water, and flowers can shine.
That brings me to my next point… the flowers! My goodness, the team at The Palette absolutely slayed these arrangements. From adorning the aisle to brightening the tables and accenting the bride’s look, each floral arrangement serves a vibrant purpose. That bridal bouquet truly blew me away. It’s like the longer you look at it, the more interesting and beautiful it gets. The teeny blue flowers in it are such perfect, unique little pops of color that tie the entire look together, from the groom’s blue tux to the tablescapes and calm water.
Shout out to Kristen Marie Weddings & Portraits for capturing every detail so beautifully.
Q&A with the Vendors
What was your design inspiration?
We were inspired to shoot a colorful wedding inspiration with sweet, bright, fun colors which complimented the desert sunset and the serene lakeside background.
Describe your flowers and the tablescape elements
Our flowers had a color palette of coral, pink, yellow and light blue. They were lush, romantic, sweet and included garden roses and hydrangea. Lush florals lined the center of the table. It was accented with blue glass goblets, coral candles and votives, clear acrylic name plates and watercolor acrylic table numbers.
Describe your cake.
The watercolor cake featured shades of pink, peach, and orange and sugar flowers complimented the design.
Tell us about your attire choices.
Our bride looked absolutely stunning in her sheer-back gown. And the loose side braid and makeup highlighted her natural beauty. Her groom turned on the charm with a watercolor bowtie from Knottie Tie Co. He wore a medium blue suit to match the calm water.
Please describe the inspiration for the stationery
The stationery suite was truly a highlight of this shoot, with a thick acrylic invitation and white hand-drawn calligraphy.
