After you know exactly who’s coming to your destination wedding, comes the unenviable job of placing them at specific tables. Some of the groupings will pick themselves – for example, family, work colleagues, school friends.
Others might be less convenient, particularly if a person is attending with no partner or colleague, in which case you might have to shoehorn them into a table where you believe they will be best suited. And there are those really delicate situations like figuring out where to seat divorced parents or step-parents.
You can let your guests fend for themselves but it can create some awkward situations that both you and your guests can do without.
