Stunning Underwater Wedding Photography Inspiration

When I asked this talented photography team about their inspiration, they said:  “The theme was under the sea.  This is for those mermaid loving brides looking to have a wedding that captures the raw elements of nature. We were inspired by the sea, tropical flowers and the Amazons.   This is a great idea for couples who want to elope but still want to remember a beautiful wedding with amazing attention to details. We chose bold color flowers to contrast all the green from our Rainforest setting and carefully chosen details that would complement the setting.  Everything about this shoot was about stripping all the glamour of a wedding to its most natural raw form and I feel we achieved that while still maintaining a high quality and modern look that would resonate with most modern brides looking for an adventure and to stand out from the crowd.”

Can you tell us about how and why you chose each detail for this underwater wedding photography shoot?  

“The lovely invitations were created to match our color palette and theme of tropical rainforest.  The aqua colors match the water in the scenery and the tropical branches give guests a feel of the location before hand.”

“The beautiful garden style bouquet had luscious tropical flowers full of bold colors.  It contrasted our scenery and also complimented the more simple gown the bride was wearing.  The bride’s hairstyle is a gorgeous messy fishtail adorned with tropical flowers to match the bouquet. We wanted her look to be natural and effortless to give the authenticity of a real nature princess.”

“The Cake was inspired by sea foam and the treasures found under the sea.   It was a true work of art with its gold dripping macarons.”

“We chose a simple flowy gown because we wanted something comfortable for a bride who would be hiking in the jungle.  Also, the free flowing shape of the gown makes an amazing choice for gorgeous underwater photos.  Its lightweight form makes it easy for a bride to swim with the gown underwater without it feeling heavy.  For the groom, we chose khaki pants and a white button up shirt.   That attire feels comfortable in summer weather and is easy to walk in throughout the jungle.”

Can you tell us more about the location of the shoot and why you chose it?

“We chose Rock Springs Kelly Park in Apopka Florida.  The location makes you feel like you’re in a Jungle in Brazil or Costa Rica without having to leave the U.S. The water is 68 degrees all year round and its crystal clear water would make for amazing underwater photos for the adventure loving couple. The colors in the scenery and teal crystal water make for a perfect setting.”
