I love gawking at destination wedding details. It is one of my obsessions and I’m lucky enough to feature some gorgeous and unique details on this blog every day. But what I love more than pretty flowers or colorful bridesmaid dresses is a wedding that celebrates culture. And that’s why I’m so excited to feature Stephanie and Rikin’s Bohemian destination wedding in Tulum –because it had it all!
Rikin grew up in Dallas to first-generation Indian parents (from Bombay) and Stephanie grew up in Arizona to Israeli parents. They both appreciate their roots and have a zest for life, as evidenced by every detail captured in these amazing destination wedding photos! From start to finish, their big day was overflowing with rich details, vibrant colors, and patterns that celebrated their love, and the fusion of their Hindu-Jewish roots, cultures, and traditions. The day started with a lively Baarat on the beach, followed by a traditional Indian wedding ceremony. Then Stephanie and Rikin changed outfits, signed the Ketubah, and had an emotional Jewish wedding on the beach. The rest of the evening was capped off with a live Mariachi band, amazing food, and dancing.
I probably spent a little too much time gushing over every detail of this destination wedding album. From the bride’s stunning attire to her single protea flower bouquet to the tropical chuppah. Everything was amazing! A huge thanks goes out to Quetzal Wedding Photo for capturing all of these intricate details and sharing them with us. I hope you enjoy this lovely multi-cultural destination wedding as much as I did!
