Golden Pineapple Elopement in North Carolina

This styled elopement in North Carolina is like something straight out of my dreams.  It is overflowing with unique, out-of-the-box, fun, and elegant details at every turn.  The most stunning of those details are the real pineapple centerpieces which were painted gold!  When I first saw it, I was completely and utterly blown away.  I could go on and on, but I will let Libby Sarver, Lead Planner at Details Wedding Planning tell us all about the inspiration behind this one-of-a-kind shoot.

Having lived in the South almost my whole life, and a few years on the Big Island of Hawaii, I wanted to create a wedding look that weaved the formality of a southern wedding with the fun and relaxed nature of the islands. By giving real pineapples a small golden makeover, we were able to weave them into a formal, more subtle color palette and create a look that combined their fun and welcoming nature with the classic, elegant feel of a southern wedding.  The theme continues with the couple’s attire. The groom is in a classic black tux, and the bride is wearing a lively ivory dress with an elegant, flowing skirt, an open back, and a floral lace top with nude underlay. A small drink station gives the wedding a casual and intimate feel, while the gorgeous, three tiered cake accented in gold feels regal.
