If your wedding mood board is full of rich florals and warm tones, this Mallorca styled shoot was made for you! Bold, joyful, and bursting with personality, this is what happens when a couple embraces color and lets it run through every single detail of their day.

The Idea Behind the Shoot
Color, energy, and mood were central to this editorial. The supplier team wanted to show that a bold wedding color palette not only looks incredible, but can also completely transform the atmosphere of the day. And they are so right! It is well known that color has psychological effects, but it’s not always the first thing couples consider when choosing the color scheme for their big day. Warm tones like terracotta, coral, and fuchsia, as seen in this shoot, create an energy in a space that draws guests in and exudes celebration!

Why Mallorca?
Mallorca, also known as Majorca, is the largest of Spain’s Balearic Islands and one of Europe’s most popular vacation destinations. It is also, as more and more couples are discovering, an incredible place to get married.

The warm climate, stunning landscapes, and long sunny days make it a natural fit for an outdoor celebration, and the island is well connected for couples and guests traveling from the UK, US, Canada, and beyond. English is widely spoken, and there is a well-established wedding industry, with a great selection of local and destination suppliers.
For this shoot, Mallorca was the obvious choice. Gorgeous scenery, golden light, and a laid-back island atmosphere that let the color and energy of the editorial shine.

the color palette
If there is one thing you notice first, it is the color. Terracotta, coral, peach, and fuchsia run through every part of this shoot, from the florals to the styling choices. Nothing here was left to chance. Every shade was selected to feel vibrant and alive, a deliberate step away from the all-white, minimalist trend that has dominated wedding styling for years.

It’s also so refreshing to see a groom in a suit that isn’t black, grey, or navy, and this deep rust-red two-piece tied the warm color palette together.

If you or your partner is open to stepping away from the traditional colors, this is your/his signal to go for it!

What a Bold Color Palette Can Do for Your Wedding
There is an idea in the wedding world that there is one correct aesthetic, and everything else is a variation on it. And we love that this shoot pushes back on that.

Your wedding should look and feel like you. Not a trend, not a template, or ‘safe’ version of what you think a wedding is supposed to look like.

This shoot is proof that when you commit to a vision that is authentically yours, the results are stunning.

the florals
Ground level floral arrangements lining a ceremony aisle are having a real moment right now, and this is a perfect example of why. Rather than a traditional floral runner, clusters of peonies, hydrangeas, ranunculus, tulips, and gerbera daisies were arranged at ground level in coral, orange, pink, and peach, creating a carpet of color either side of the aisle.

With the rattan chairs and palm trees of Finca Predio Son Serra as the backdrop, the whole thing feels tropical and celebratory without being overdone.

The bridal bouquet carried the same warmth through, full textured blooms finished with soft ribbon streamers. Romantic without being fussy, and the perfect finishing touch to pull the whole look together.

the bridal look
The bride’s spaghetti strap A-line with pearl bodice detail is exactly right for an outdoor Mallorca wedding. Relaxed enough for a warm day, romantic enough for the occasion.

The pearl drop earrings pick up the dress detail without being too matchy, and the bold lip by @bridalstyling.michaelaroemer is the kind of beauty choice that really pays off in photos, tying straight into the warm, rich tones running through the whole day.

The reception table
The reception table at Finca Predio Son Serra shows exactly how to work with color without it feeling overwhelming. A simple white linen tablecloth as the base, woven rattan charger plates, dusty pink linen napkins, and clusters of coral, orange, and peach florals running the length of the table.

Fresh citrus fruits dotted in between the arrangements tie the whole thing back to that warm Mediterranean palette and add an organic touch. The rattan chairs and the finca’s stone walls do the rest.

the cake
Couples finishing their own wedding cake has become one of our favorite trends right now, and this is a beautiful example of why.

Rather than a formal cake cutting, the couple piped the final layer of cream together, topped it with fresh fruit, citrus slices, edible flowers, and a dusting of powdered sugar, and made it entirely their own.

Ideas for your own wedding
If your wedding mood board is bursting with color, bold florals, and warm earthy tones, save this one for inspo – particularly if you are having an outdoor wedding! Why? Because natural light will show these colors and tones in the best and most authentic way.

And remember that this is your sign to NOT play it safe when it comes to your wedding styling! Your day is all about you, and your details are where you can really let your personalities shine through!
