Today I’m sharing an absolutely gorgeous travel themed wedding inspiration, that is so perfect for a destination wedding I can hardly stand it! It is jam-packed with travel-themed décor and tons of personal touches in a classic lemon and grey color palette. Everything from cute traveling lovebirds, to suitcases, and a timeline of all the locations visited by the couple.
This masterpiece was designed by SwaLaRue Events, a themed wedding and proposal planning boutique that creates customized experiences that allow couples to express themselves through the small details that make them unique. A huge, huge shout out goes out to the super talented Kelly Cameron Photography for capturing all the details and allowing me to share them with all of you today. Enjoy!
The team of vendors shared their inspiration behind this shoot:
The Traveling Lovebirds Theme was inspired by the young, fun loving couple that met in college. When they first met, she had a sunflower in her hair, and he wore a bright yellow Polo shirt. It was an instant connection because they both loved the color yellow. While they were dating, they traveled to several landmarks throughout the State of Texas, collecting a piece of the local culture, eating at unique local restaurants, and adding a ‘we were here’ pin to their map of the State at the end of each excursion. For their honeymoon, they plan to backpack across Europe.
To bring out their personalities, several touches of Lemon Zest Yellow, lovebirds, and elements of travel accentuated their theme. For their Spring afternoon reception, their guests enjoyed a hearty salad, shrimp entrée and fun cupcakes for dessert.

Even though I read about this theme, I have never seen any such weddings! Indeed quite a different theme!
