Brittany and Brian’s wedding in 2008 was very small — and perfect, she says — but the couple “made a promise to each other that they would celebrate their 10-year anniversary with all of their family and friends.” So, they kept their promise with a tropical destination vow renewal ceremony, this time with their two sons and many loved ones as guests.
Brittany says she was inspired by all things beachy, and her favorite parts of the day were “the tropical decor, the beautiful flowers, and the amazing sunset.” Planner Carrie Darling took that theme and ran with it, with a seating chart with hot-pink acrylic flamingos guiding guests to their seats and incorporating more vibrant colors with glass buoys and containers, painted palm leaves and a custom-built wooden aisle runner with rungs in accent colors of pink, yellow and blue. Instead of a cake, they opted for heart-shaped macaron individual desserts, with the recipe included.
Brittany said they had a wonderful time celebrating and dancing by the water and advises other couples to hire a wedding planner, especially if you’re having a destination wedding or vow renewal ceremony.
As someone who has a 10-year wedding anniversary coming up next year, I was so inspired by these gorgeous photos and was certainly taking notes! A huge thanks to TRK Photography for capturing all the details and sharing them with us. I hope you enjoy this feature as much as I did.
